Until URU Tapestry University Bahro Glyph Tours -- Tour 2

Throughout the ages of URU there are glyphs painted here and there. Ireenquench and Ti'chelle have been nice enough to take visitors into these ages to discuss and speculate what these glyphs mean. The first tour featured a stroll through Eder Kemo. What we learned was amazing. The second tour started again in Eder Kemo, but then it moved onto the Bahro Caves of Er'cana and Ahnonay and finally into Minkata. There is no audio from the second tour. I have posted the screenshot images here with explanations I can recall and highlighting the chat logs in the images when appropriate.

The map below shows the areas where the glyphs for the tour were located for the Eder Kemo part. Some of these stations were covered during the first tour. THERE ARE GAME SPOILERS IN THE IMAGES BELOW. BEWARE.
Eder Kemo Glyph Tour Map

Gathering and introduction in Eder Kemo.

We started with the glyph by the Bahro Door.

The glyph looks very similar to the large rotating statue.

Theories are that this might be King Ahlsendar.

We had a bit of a preview on the last tour.
The image shows the glyph next to the bahro cave.

Quite an interesting comparison.
Could this be the Watcher or the Seer?

Some great theories were discussed in chat in these panels.

Kerryth, Thend and Junee continue their discussion.

The nearby pavilion has an Ahnonay symbol on the floor.

The glyphs in the stone cubby nearby showing Ahnonay.

The tunnel also has a couple of glyphs.

Interesting, looks like Yeesha again?

More glyphs were show on the Relto stones.

The Spiral on the island in Relto.

There is a spiral on the back of the spark stones.

The tour then moved to the Bahro Caves in Ahnonay/Er'cana.

One person had to be ready to drop pellets.

The tour group gathers and waits for the pellet drop.

The pellet drop reveals a tremendous number of glyphs.

Detail in one of the glyphs in the Bahro Cave.

These glyphs show details of the Yeesha story. Amazing!

An interesting theory on a Kadish in the chat log and images.

We then moved to Minkata. Dark Minkata.
The stone is barely lit by one of the players in the age.

Some interesting chat, with a link a Riven based drawing.

Some theories related to Noloben.

The Noloben Tree image.

The glyph tours were an amazing education experience for those looking for even more depth in the game, and celebrating and highlighting the detail added by Cyan Worlds into the game play. It is a treat to look back at the nicknames in the chat logs. Thanks for taking the time to view. If you have any clarifications or other information that can be added, please let me know.

mtn-man would like to thank Ireenquench and Ti'chelle for all of their work. The Glyph Tour was an amazing couple of hours. I cannot do it justice. Of course, there is nothing like being in the cavern as the tour is taking place.

Tapestry University was a project started by several members of the Tapestry Shard when Until URU was still the way for explorers to gather. When the Until URU shards were taken down in favor of Myst Online: URU Live, Tapestry was lost to the changes that occurred at that time.
