My Geocoins

I created some geocoins early in the craze. Here are my versions I've created.

For the first coin I decided to do a Five Year Anniversary Geocoin in 2006. It is also a celebration of my goal to find a geocache in the 48 contiguous United States and eventually all 50 states. I have also found many caches in the District of Columbia. It was a run of 300 coins. It is 24k gold plated and filled with one color on one side and three on the other. The recessed background will be a stippled gold look to make the polished gold in the states, the logos and the text look even more prevalent. I hope you like the gold coin. It was fun to make.

The second coin was also a lot of fun to create. The "admin brick" idea has been around for quite a long time. I have had a secret hidden web page on my site for a few years now. I have made it public. mtn-man's admin brick page Over time we have joked about it among the reviewers and moderators for the forums. When I saw how some coins were custom cut, I got the idea for the Admin Brick Geocoin. After working hard with the folks at www.geocoinstore.com, we have a great, finished admin brick. I guess I underestimated how popular the admin brick would be. Thanks to you all for your great reception of the admin brick. I went ahead and did a second version of the admin brick. The second one was a tribute to my good friend Keystone.

There were gold versions produced for each coin with a limited run of 50 each.
The second one ended up shiny gold by accident, but looks cooler actually.
